Rename Hyper-V machine and disks

Hi Experts, need to rename a Hyper-V VM as well as its disks. How can this be done? I am able to rename the VM using the UI but it does not change the disk name. Hyper-V host is 2012R2

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Shut down the guest.

Rename the VHDX files in File Explorer.

In Hyper-V Manager bring up the Settings for the VM. REMOVE the renamed VHDX files and APPLY.

ADD the renamed VHDX files using the Existing option.

APPLY and OK once the VHDX files are added.

Start the VM.
