Strange & Crazy behavior in iPhone 6 with a A/C adapter not Apple

We have a problem that is already resolved, but wanted to know why it happened.

We have an iPhone 6 and last night we connected using an Apple cable but a non-Apple A/C power adapter.

It charge ok, but we noticed that when we used or just opened the phone while connected to power, it started entering to differents apps, calling, etc., real crazy.

Definitely we are aware it's the non-Apple adapter, but can any EE explain why it did this?

The voltage was not correct for Apple.

(A faulty or mismatched non Apple adapter that outputs too high voltage or a surging high voltage output from the adapter)
You may test it with a voltage and amperage test meter.
A non Apple adapter should work fine if the voltage and amperage is correct for the Apple device,

Was the "non-Apple A/C power adapter" an USB charger?
