Disk in the HOST SERVER to be used by virtual machine

Hello Experts,

I spent a day connecting my hyper-v server core to the SAN and Now I have C volume and D volume on the Core. Before creating the D volume I went ahead and I created a virtual server 2012 in this host and my virtual disk is now located at C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hyper-V\Virtual HardDisks\*

The issue is I have already completed installing the applications on this virtual machine and I do not want to loose the vitual disk. My intention is to have another drive on this virual disk  using the D volume from the host server as this one is 100Gb in size. Is this possible?

I would like to need the process of having two volume C and D on the virtual guest machine. Thank you.

you can always create a new drive in the vm settings and have the virtual disk file located anywhere that the host machine can access
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hyper-V\Virtual HardDisks\* I don't put my hyper-v machines there but on another drive. It is easy enough to change.Hyper-V Settingsvirtual machine settings
