"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's quite simple. There is not really a migration.

1. Ensure you new vCenter Server has network communications with all the hosts.

2. Ensure you vCenter Server is compatible with all your hosts.

3. Remove the ESXi hosts from the current vCenter Server which is managing the host and VMs. (that's all vCenter Server does, doing this will cause no downtime of the VMs).

4. Add the ESXi host vers to the new vCenter Server.
