I've been asked by a new client to fire up their old SBS2k3 server (out of action for 1.5 years) and recover some old emails, ofc no one knew the password, but I got past that and and now getting the error.<br />
Security Accounts Manager Initialization failed because of the following error: Directory Service cannot start. Error Status: 0xc00002e1. Please click OK to shut down this system and reboot to Directory Services Restore Mode...<br />

doing this and running ntdsutil &gt;&nbsp;files &gt;&nbsp;integrity tells me the db is corrupt<br />
ntdsutil &gt;&nbsp;tiles &gt;&nbsp;recover exits with Operation Terminated with error -255, Spawned Process Exit code 0xffffff01(-255)<br />

I do not need to get this machine in working condition, I just need to get it into a state where I can export two mailboxes?

ntdsutil > tiles > recover exits with Operation Terminated with error -255, Spawned Process Exit code 0xffffff01(-255)

I do not need to get this machine in working condition, I just need to get it into a state where I can export two mailboxes?
