I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is the printer set to forward faxes to another number? In that case it may be set to delay sending them.

Check as follows:
Press Setting on the printer's screen.
Press the left/right arrows to select Sending Type > Delay Send.
Press the up/down arrows to set the Start Time.
Press Check on the screen.

Update: this was resolved by replacing the toner. Apparently this device can still print with low toner but it will not print faxes.
