Vb.net Where clause

Hi,

in Visual Studio, I'm trying to add a wildcard to my sql statement so that the users can search for part of a string to filter the results, normally I should be able to use the wildcard : projet LIKE '%145%

but I keep getting the Error in WHERE clause near '%'.
Unable to parse query text.

I'm using the dataset wizard,

you need to close the single quote:

WHERE project LIKE '%145%'

I forgot to mention that it's a parameter, it's actually like this  '%?%' but vb seems to remove the parameter if I write it like that

Can you put the whole code (or a part of it, where you create the recordset, etc...) ?

Try concatenation:

Project LIKE CONCAT('%', CONCAT(?, '%'))

Above assumes SQL Server; adjust the concat operation accordingly if you're targeting a different DB.
