I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Copyminder is VM "aware" so any application using it will "'phone home" the first time it is run on the VM - if the Copyminder licence is also active on another machine then it will stop working.  It's fully compatible with the esx hypervisor.

Whether the VM is classified as a new installation or not depends on the licensing of the software package you are using with Copyminder protection.  Your license is with that publisher not Copyminder and we can't help you bypass the security which is protecting their product.

Thanks andrew
is there any way to avoid that

No, the nature of a P2V, converts physical hardware to virtual hardware.

Everything changes, BIOS, Motherboard, Network Interface, Storage Controller, CPU may also change.

The only thing which remains the same is the data on the disk!
