Nobus,
Your information that burning to a USB is different than burning to a DVD is new to me. Thanks for the info.
I was burning a Linux program and now I have the instructions on how to burn the dvd and then crreate the usb bootable from those files (syslinux.exe). I required a usb boot because I couldn't get her computer to boot from the dvd but I have also solved that problem.
Carlos,
I have the iso but thanks for the instructions re creating an iso. I will probably use that in the future.
Gustav thanks but I should have made it clear that I was not burning a windows iso but a linux iso.
Thanks to all

vlogg5, with a CD/DVD, there is actually a laser burning the info on the media
with a flash stick - which is purely ram, you simply write it to the stick - no burning done there
and tx for feedback

nobus,
How obvious is that. Do I feel stupid. Again, thanks for the info.
