Keyboard Driver Incompatibility in VMWare 11 running on Sony Vaio Win 8.1

I have a Sony VAIO running on windows 8.1 and I have also installed VMWare 11 running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Server on the same laptop.

There is keyboard incompatibility when i run VMWare 11 on Sony VAIO.

Some of the keyboard letters are misrepresented like letter "m" when typed on the keyboard shows as "0" on notepad, similarly letter "p" when typed on the keyboard is shown as "*" on notepad. However, these letters are represented correctly when i press the function key along with the letter.

Looks like this is a keyboard driver incompatibility. How do i resolve this?

Make sure "Num Lock" is disabled. Num Lock maps the numeric keypad to normal keys on laptops that don't have a separate numeric keypad.
