Outlook public folder permissions

Hi Experts,

I am trying to alter the security permissions on a public folder, so I have logged onto our SBS 2011 server and gone to Exchange Management Console, Toolbox.

I then choose Public Folder management, select default public folders on the left part of the screen and right click the public folder I want to change the permissions for.

I can alter the permissions of any sub folder but not the parent folder and I cant work out why. the option isn't there. see attachment

exchange.PNG - so here you can see the option for properties - where i can go in and alter the permissions
exchange-2.PNG - so here I have no option for properties

help please

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Just click on "Default Public Folders" so that your parent folder will come right side of the windows. Then you can see the properties tab.
