I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Goto Mailbox DB properties and change the PF db to new PF DB you created. Then uninstall it. PF replication can take time. So you might need to leave it for few days to complete.

Ya, that what I said above. As your current MBX db's are using PF db which you are trying to remove. Hence Exchange is not allowing it to remove. Until you point DB's to another PF DB.
