Etherchannel and vDS

i have 3 ESXi hosts with 4 nics in each ESXi Host
i am using 1 port on each Nic per ESXi Host
so for each ESXi Host i have 4 Cables + 1 Mgmt Cable going to a Cisco Switch 3750E

What i would like to do is create an Ether-channel
from a Cisco Switch to a v Distributed Switch

what is the best Practice for this ?

You need link aggregation with LACP for best effect of vDS
Both ends of cable have extensive documentation on subject.

Is Load-balancing done on the Cisco Switch Side or the VDS ?
In both sides. (If you get vDS LAG right)
