I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Something to do with Port you have to involve network administrator to block incoming connection on port 3389. The best way is to disable the RD completely so this way no one can RDP to the windows 2012. Follow the steps below to accomplish this.

On your RD Session Host server, click/open Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.

To open RDS Host Configuration, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and click Remote Desktop Services, and then click Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.

You will see under Connections, the name of the connection (for example, RDP-Tcp) that you want to disable.

On the Action menu, click Disable Connection and the connection will be immediately disabled for all users and any user connected will be disconnected too.

Hope that helps.

You switch off RDP as shown above, or set up the firewall to block anything you do not want to come in.

Just go to firewall and block, the RDP and ports associated to that.

Luis Moura how would I do that?

Using the GUI interface to enable or disable the Remote Desktop exception follow the steps below

1. Open Windows Firewall.
2. Click the Exceptions tab.
==> To enable the remote desktop exception, in Programs and Services, select the Remote Desktop check box, and click OK.
==> To disable the remote desktop exception, in Programs and Services, clear the Remote Desktop check box, and click OK.

If you are a command prompt guy then follow this

Type the following at the command prompt, and press ENTER:

netsh firewall set service type = remotedesktop mode = mode

In enable you replace "mode" with enable or disable so like this below
netsh firewall set service type = remotedesktop mode = enable
netsh firewall set service type = remotedesktop mode = disable

Hope that helps
