Whats the best VB platform to start writing Mobile Applications in VB
Currently we have VB 2010 is there anything better or any suggestions as to how to write application in .Net?
"Best" is a subjective term. What does "best" mean to you? What features are you looking for?
Seeing how Microsoft is going right now, they are putting C# in front for all the new features that they had to Visual Studio, and this means either mobile or cloud.
When they came out with Windows Store (Windows 8) applications, they gave out tons of sample projects in C#, but as far as I know, that collection was not available in VB as it was in the past.
They want to attract younger programmers and programmers from other platforms to .NET, and this means C#, because programmers on other platforms do not program in VB.
VB still evolves, although slowly and will surely be supported for a long time for Windows Applications and Class Libraries. But as far as mobile is concerned, even though I like VB a lot more than C#, I would personnaly go for C#.

When I say best I mean easiest to configure and setup. Also I would like to target Windows, Android phones

I have already replied. Forget VS2010. You need to go the Xamarin path
