EnGenius EZ Controller

I'm having issues with the EZ Zone controller. It used to work and nothing on the wifi APs changed, however they seem to not broadcast or be discoverable when using UDP161 for SNMP.

What I've done:
1. Reinstalled software on mac/pc/Linux tried them all
2. changes firmware versions on a single AP
3. Pulled an AP out of the network and direct to my laptop (it shows up with SNMP then)

Background:
Environment has about 20 switches, and a ASA5525 routing traffic.

Network is a /16

This used to work, and the last time was when we were using an ASA5510 but I copied over the configs by hand, and nothing else stopped working last year when we moved to the 5525.

I use the cisco SNMP network mapping tool with no problems (but it doesn't control the APs).

What I'm looking for:
Some spitball ideas on things to try or look for. The logs show the ASA isn't blocking the traffic (it's internal anyway so it shouldn't based on configuration be inspecting internal to internal traffic at all).

This issue is resolved by setting the Engenius APs to use a different, non-default community string. Broadcasts with the 'public' RO community string either do not traverse this network, or are captured by another device on the network.
