project management tool

I am in search of project mgmt tool for my organization.
we had bought zoho but we found it little confusing .
we require mgmt tool which have facility to sync with any subversion tool and should be use to manage and assign the task to our team members and able to view the project milestone.
Have searched a lot but failed to get so.
Please suggest tool which has above feature. I am doing work on request tracker and redmine so that we would be able to manage the tool via code spec.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I highly recommend Jira by Atlassian. Cost is very reasonable, starting at just $10 per month (you can even try it for free), they can host or you can host (the choice is yours), it supports both Agile and Waterfull style project management and interfaces to just about every 3rd party you can think of, including Subversion and Git. There are also a plethora of plugins to expand it (both written by Atlassian and 3rd parties - a lot of which are completely free).

Jira is what evilrix means! I love Jira!!! It is especially helpful when using it in conjunction with a Continuous Integration platform such as Jenkins and HipChat.

You can find real user reviews for Jira on IT Central Station that might help you with your decision: JIRA: This user wrote: "Product is well liked but we have had performance issues. Premier Support: Knowledge is very good and they are willing to bring in other people when they need to. The Premier Support team was very thorough and very responsive." You can read the full review here: http://www.itcentralstation.com/product_reviews/jira-review-32216-by-systemsarchitect233

Many people who visit our site to read Jira reviews also check out HP ALM. This user wrote, "We used JIRA. Its is also a good tool for defect tracking, but due to the lack of test and requirements management in JIRA, we have moved to ALM." http://www.itcentralstation.com/product_reviews/hp-alm-review-33349-by-abdul-rehman

Good luck with your decision.
