In the subform there is a box name BUYQTY with a calculated value (Price * Discount), buy clicking the button each record should update with the correct value. How to implement the FOR...EACH statement in the following code? Because at this stage it update the first row value to all records.

DoCmd.SetWarnings False

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Your statement would update EVERY RECORD in the NewOrder table with the value found in that BUYQTY control - is it not doing that?

FWIW, you don't need to set the focus to that control (and you really shouldn't be suppressing warnings during development, at least). Instead of all the code you're using now, you can simply do this:

Currentdb.Execute "UPDATE NewOrder SET NewOrder.BUYQTY = '" & Forms("OrderForm").Controls("OrdSub").Form.Controls("BUYQTY") & "'"

That said, BUYQTY sounds like a Numeric field. If so, you don't need to wrap it in single quotes:

Currentdb.Execute "UPDATE NewOrder SET NewOrder.BUYQTY = " & Forms("OrderForm").Controls("OrdSub").Form.Controls("BUYQTY")
