Does MPLS need to be from the same provider?

We currently use MPLS connecting three facilities among three states in the US. The MPLS we use is provided by the same ISP. My company is in a mode of acquisition so in the future we may acquire a new facility where our current ISP don't/can't provide the MPLS whatsoever. So my question is, is it possible to use MPLS via different ISPs ?

Yes.  Just like with Frame-Relay, some providers have Network-to-Network Interfaces (NNI) where they connect to other providers.  If the providers in questions have NNI's to each other then it's rather easy to request an interconnection between services.

The new facility we are acquiring is located in London, UK. Do you think the NNI is possible between an overseas ISP (UK) and a US ISP?
