W10 The Edger Browser Favorites

With the new browser included with W10, thee appears to be no way to get the favorites to move to the left hand side of the screen, nor can it be set to remain on the screen not can you sort the list of favorites. I have tried to drag it but that did not work. I see no setting to keep it on the screen. I also see no way to sort the favorites so before it would list the folders first and then individual items, now the individual items come first and then the folders. Is there any way to get any of these features back?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The favourites as you have noticed are on the right side in a menu. It is a new browser and I do not know more than others what Microsoft might do with it.

I continue to use IE 11, like it better than Edge, and set is as default.

Go to Start, Settings, System, Default Apps and select IE as your default browser. For sure it is supported.

Go here with Windows Explorer:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer , right click on iexplore.exe, select Copy, put your mouse on the desktop and select Paste Shortcut. Now IE is on your desktop.

You can Pin IE to the taskbar and unpin Edge if you wish to .
