Excel VBA Macro to Select a Cell based on it's Cell Number Format

I've got a Spreadsheet that I inherited and it somehow has all the cells with the same Date Format. The majority of the sheet has been updated the the cells are in this format anymore, but when I go to input data into a blank cell or add a column etc... the default cell number format is "[$-409]d-mmm;@" I know there is a way to find and select all the cells that have this format, but I don't know how to do it.

So if someone could help me with a Macro that selects all cells with this format:

I would appreciate it.

Once I select all of the cells I plan to just format then as "General"

Try this

Sub FormatToGeneral()
    Dim cl As Range
    For Each cl In ActiveSheet.Range("E11:E15")
        If cl.NumberFormat = "[$-409]d-mmm;@" Or cl.NumberFormat = "[$-409]d/mmm;@" Then
            cl.NumberFormat = "General"
        End If
    Next cl
End Sub

Open in new window

For some strange reason VBA read the format $-409]d-mmm;@ as [$-409]d/mmm;@, so I have inserted both in the search.
