RDS Connection Monitoring & Logout

For 500 points can anyone let me know how I can let a small group of users monitor RDS connections and logout any disconnected ones using Server Manager on Server 2012 R2 without assigning them Domain Admins rights?

The purpose of monitoring is to check login times as well as disconnect any stuck sessions and any disconnected sessions to use licences more effectively.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. The user do not need to be a domain admin to monitor eventlogs on a server. He must be a local admin.

I know 2 ways how to let regular user to monitor logs events on RDS.

1. Use powershell to get events you need and send them to a user. The best script:

Get-TerminalSessionDetails.ps1 -ComputerName RDSServer1 -MailTo rob@fabrikam.com -MailFrom TSServer_Report@fabrikam.com -MailServer

Simple Schedule the script.

Or do it like we do. Install Remote Desktop Gateway Monitor. You can simple permitted standard user to view all results you like:

The app is not free but it is worth the price.
