Dell Latitude 3450 Unified Wireless Suite

Is there a way to disable the Dell Unified Wireless Suite?  For some reason, the wired and wireless connections don't work at the same time.  I checked to make sure that the option to disable WiFi while the wired connection was not enabled.  I also updated it to the latest drivers, but several times a day my client loses her connection to her accounting software when either the WiFi or the ethernet connection stops working temporarily.  I have a feeling that the wired ethernet connection is being disconnected by the Unified Wireless Suite.

The system is running Windows 8.1

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Uninstall it and let windows manage it.  In 8. 8.1 and 10 windows will prioritize the LAN connection.

Having a machine with two IP's on the same network is a recipe for bad.

Generally Wired connection will disable Wireless and not the other way around.

You need to look in the Advanced Properties of your network cards and look at the Metric. The lower metric has priority. See Wired low if you wish it to take precedence.
