Uninstall it from Programs and Features (you can do this). Restart the computer, go back to Adobe and install it again.

The shock wave player was not in the programs. We had Adobe Flash and Adobe Flash Active X. We removed both and went to Adobe only to discover Adobe Shock Wave Player which we downloaded. We have that now but we do not have Adobe Flash Player. Are they the same? The date of the two Flash programs was as recent as September 21, 2015 so they were not very old.

I'll download Flash but after trying some videos, etc. I did not notice anything that would tell me we did not have Flash.
Everything worked fine.
Use the Adobe.com link to get Flash as it is a stub that installs from the Adobe site.

I think it is Chrome where the Flash crash occurs. And the version was up to date as of 9-21-15.
We'll download Flash Player and monitor results.

I usually use trusted CNET for downloads. They always direct you to the proper site.
