Convert PHP WordPress Website from English to Multilingual

Hi Experts,

We have a website built in PHP wordpress. We want it to become multilingual. We have following steps that we want to take :

Step I :   We want to convert all our pages from English to at least 10 other international languages.
Step II :  We want the converted content to be saved (as pages) in our MySql wordpress database.
Step III : All the newly created pages should be editable by super admin.
Step IV : We want all the changes in mother page (English) to reflect in the other language pages all by itself.

We would appreciate your suggestions and guidance regarding this.

Thanks and regards,
Joydip Das

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is not WordPress-specific and I'm sure there are some ideas or plug-ins in the Codex that do the WordPress part of the question, but this article can show you the general design for multi-lingual web sites.

There appears to be some good WordPress-specific guidance here.  I would stick with the popular and well-ranked ideas.

So the problem with what you want to do is that machine-based translation (Step IV)  generally sucks.  If you are willing to live with Google translations of your content, then I recommend using this plugin:

http://transposh.org/

If you want to go with manual translations of content, then I recommend WPML:
