We have an SBS2011 Server with 30 users at our main office with most of our company data on and a 2008R2 server at our second office which is a second DC and files which are used locally at the second office. Both sites are connected via a router to router VPN
We are looking to move to Office 365 and i would do this with a Cutover Migration as explained here
My question is what happens to the SBS server after the email migration?
Do i just disable all exchange services and simply use it as a DC and fileserver and/or can i add another DC on new hardware and decommission the SBS server to remove it from the organisation because its getting to the end of its useful life?
Thanks for your insights into this.
Also on another point, would this be a good setup for DFSR?
