Scan to email software for MFC-9125CN printer needed

Windows 10 both 32 and 64 bit are listed.

Read the "Information" box under the OS selection box.

Brother is in the process of verifying Windows 10 drivers for that printer.  So if the current Windows 8.1 drivers doesn't work, it's probably a safe bet that they will have some in the near future that will work.

Thanks, however the download which is provided at that link for scan to email software, actually is a firmware update instead, and does not seem to be the software one is expecting to download.

Until Brother provides W10/64-bit software, I recommend installing the W8.1/64-bit software. It has a good chance of working (but not guaranteed), as discussed in this EE article:

I've installed many Brother MFCs (although not your model) with excellent results, and I always recommend installing the Full Driver & Software Package. For your model in W8.1/64-bit, it is here:

If the W8.1 software works on W10, you'll be able to choose Scan to E-mail on the MFC's control panel, using the Scan key. This should invoke the default email program. If it doesn't, try to configure it by following the instructions in the E-mail section (page 65) of the Software User's Guide, which is here:

As I said in my article mentioned above, I used the W8.1/64-bit software for the MFC-9840CDW on W10/64-bit and it is working well. Of course, that doesn't mean you'll have the same luck with the MFC-9125CN, but it's worth a shot. Btw, if you want to access the Scanners and Cameras applet (which you may need with a networked-connected scanner like the MFC-9125CN), this EE article explains how to do it in W10 (it is no longer in Control Panel):

Yes, of course it does. In fact, Brother bundled PaperPort 11 with the MFC-9125CN. That said, it's iffy in W10, so I don't recommend it (instead recommending PP14), but there are, indeed, reports of PP11.2 and PP12.1 working in W10 (although without the PaperPort Image Printer).

I presume my post http:#a41041972 gave you the idea of using PaperPort to solve your problem and I think it deserves to be the answer to this question, so I am objecting to closing it as you did. Paperport 11.2 does not scan to email.

You can download a Windows 10 app called Brother Print and Scan, and when you select Share you can then send an email of the scanned page as an attachment.
Although it does not use Office 2016 to do this, it uses Mail for Windows 10.

Brother Print and scan 'does' work on Windows 10, 64bit, and that is what I have decided to use.

Note to all who read this post - Brother Print and Scan in the Windows app store works with scanning and then sharing to email, using the Mail app which comes with Windows 10.
