SSRS 2008 Paramters

I have 2 parameters in my SSRS report.

First parameter (Business) is a multiple select and I call a SP to populate it. I do not default into this parameter

Second parameter (Directors) is a multiple select and I call a SP to populate it. I call the same SP again as a Default so this parameter is populated and all Director names are checked. I pass the Business parameter to this parameter so I know what directors to find.

On the first pass thru the report, all the Director names that belong to the first Business checked in the Business parameter are in the Directors parameter and they are all checked.

Problem:

If I choose another Business in my first parameter (Now I have 2 checked)  my second parameter will now show additional Director names but these names will not be checked. Is there a way to get these additional Director names checked (automatically) like what happened on the first time thru.

Looks like the Default SP only runs once and after that you have to manually click dropdown and check off these new Directors.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Unfortunately that is a known limitation.  There is an issue on MS Connect which you might want to look into: Default does not get refreshed for cascading parameters

Of all the workarounds mentioned, the one by Boyan Penev is worth examining if you really need this feature.

I found a solution (work around) on the internet and it works for me.

Not sure if I can give the site URL or post the code here or not.

Do you know if I can give out this information ?

If you explain in your own words how you got it to work then we're fine with that.  And your code is probably customized to your situation as well so that should be fine too.
