group policy and delegated authority

Greetings,

I just got a contract to provide GPO creation support for a specific OU in my client's AD. I will be helping with deploying software updates to workstations/laptops via GPO and keeping consistency with SCCM DCM. Do you have any suggested reading for doing this kind of work?

Thank you,
JohnD

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Interesting. Why update Software via GPO if you have SCCM? What kind of Software and which version of SCCM?
John DarbyPMAuthor Commented:
Software is (MSIs) being delivered as dogfood and SCCM I assume is 2012. I have yet to start, but it appears they are using GPOs to determine distribution of packages and the non-PROD source path (dogfood source) and DCM is being used to enforce custom registry settings and non-PROD bits being deployed

Got a couple Moscowitz and Hicks books and am trolling various blogs...I don't have alot to catch up on, but I think I have what I need to do a bang-up job at work.
