emails not found

I have outlook 2013 as a client for exchange 2010.

User reported that he couldn't find last 3 days' emails and he did not delete them.

I searched everywhere and I couldn't find those emails.

any Suggestions??

Thanks

Did you search "recover deleted items" on all of his folders?

junk-email folder maybe, antivirus on the workstation or server took them into quarantine?
by the way check recover deleted items not only on deleted items folder but all the folders (inbox and such).

The best wya to find out if a message went to a mailbox is using message tracking. Even if the message has been deleted it will still log this into. At that point you can determine if the message actually made it to the mailbox.

If message tracking states that the mail was sent to the mailbox then you might have a "ghost rule" that was not properly deleted. You can use MFCMAPI to check this and if a rule exists then you can remove it.
