I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I see nothing about Monitoring Health, Monitoring Performance, and Capacity Planning.

As for VACP Certification, I would checkout the Exam Blueprint

https://mylearn.vmware.com/lcms/web/portals/certification/VCAP_Blueprints/VCAP5-DCA-VDCA550-Exam-Blueprint-v3_3.pdf

this will tell you exactly what you need to know.

I would go have a look over the VCAP requirements so you can get a better idea of what you need to know.

As for making the environment stable, I guess it depends on knowing why it isn't stable now.  Reviewing alerts and logs is a good way to learn about what is going on in your environment. Or using a monitoring tools like vCentre Operations Manager.
