Need help with Cinnamon desktop
I'm trying to customize my Cinnamon desktop in Ubuntu and running into some difficulties. First off, I want to modify the background to a solid color, not an image. It appears I can set solid (or gradient) colors on the settings tab (see image), but I can't seem to remove the background image. I've been able to modify the cinnamon.css file, but the desktop background does not appear to be in there.
Attached is a slice of my desktop, open to the Backgrounds setting. Notice there are no images listed. Not even the one currently displayed; not sure why. In any case, I just want to get rid of that intense turquoise background image and just put a solid color. How?
