Word 2016 for Windows will not Save a document

Hi,

Using a Windows 7 Pro 64Bit desktop pc and Office 2016 Home/Business 32bit.  I have a strange problem which when I try and save a Word document it creates a 0kb file of the said document, but then keeps the save dialog box open and the filename at the top of the doument is still called document 1 (suggesting that the document hasnt been saved).  When I close Word down I get a dialog box asking to save the main word template file.  Once I close word down I can see the file I saved (0kb) when I try and open it, it says that the file cannot be found.  All other programs work fine in Office, it is just Word.  The PC has DESlock+ installed, but having spoke to them they dont know of any compatibility problems.

Ive tried opening in safe mode, looked at disabling addons (there are none) and checked for rogue macros etc...nothing.  Also tried a repair install and a complete re-installation...no joy.  Very frustrating, anyone else have this problem?

Thanks
