However the authentication prompts in a seperate pop up box, Can you please let me know how to read user name and password from the webpage instead of the pop-up.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Users should check the browser configuration, the url they are using should be in Trusted Sites and in the configuration of Trusted Sites they should have "Automatic logon only in Intranet zone" or "Automatic logon with current user name and password" selected (all this in the security tab of the settings.
Another way if you are restricting programically access to the website is to give Everyone Read permission on the website folder (in the filesystem).
