What it is the correct way to remove a failed and suspended datbase from a DAG ?

we have a hard drive issue .can t read or open the folder where one database resides, therefore we had to failover this database .
Now we moved all mailboxes from this database, it is empty and we are ready to delete that mailbox .
What it is the best way to delete it ? will we be able to remove it even it is failed and suspended? and then can we remove the active one as it is empty now...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

INMO, cmdlet remove-mailboxdatabasecopy must be enough.

If not work, can try updating database until is healthy (update-mailboxdatabasecopy) and then remove this copy.

Last step is remove edb and transactional log files from disk.
