Network installation path

I would like to allow ALL of my users to be able to install from a network location (mapped drive). If they would to install from any other source it should be disallowed.

No users should be local admin to accomplish this task.

we are Win domain based environment

Any ideas ?

Got it, thanks Arnold, John and David.

to answer to you all,
1
System Center Configuration Manager is one of many solutions available. --> yes to push out , my goal is to "pull"
2
However the users must be administrators for most installs, so "No users should be local admin" won't work.--> You're correct on this one, I was looking for some kind of SW repository where users would be able to choose from approved list and install on their own.

Installations will vary probably, EXE, MSI etc. Network based location will be maintained by an domain admin, not end user  (write VS Read/execute)

are you aware of any software repositories that would do such a thing ?
I am not aware of any software repository that will do what you want. All the software I use has ALL different methods of download, install and setup that I do not know of any one tool.
System Center Configuration Manager is one of many solutions available. --> yes to push out , my goal is to "pull" it is also pull. And the client agent does the work and the agent has admin privileges.
