Grant helpdesk Exchange Roles

I need to grant helpdesk staff the ability to create users, distribution groups, and have the ability to edit them. What roles or permission do I need to grant the user?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you just want them to have rights to Groups or all Mail enable objects?

If you want just groups you will need to create your own Role, but if you want them to be able to manage mail enable object there is the Recipient Management.

Here is a powershell command

New-RoleGroup -Name "YourHelpDeskGroup" -Roles "Distribution Groups" -members "HelpDesk"

"Recipient Management" is sufficient
