How to Segment out 3 Ports on a Cisco 6500 Chasis

Hello,
We need to take 3 ports in our 6500 chassis Switch (SO 7) and separate them out to make them as if they were in their own completely separate switch with no traffic between those ports and the rest of the ports. How do we do that?

You do this by creating VLANs which are virtual LANs and then you could decide if you routing between them. Refer Cisco documents for VLANs or better yet get an expert to do it.

So basically, we could just make a VLAN for those three ports. How do we make sure that no information travels between those ports and the other VLANS on the switch?

You create ACL on interface VLAN X that drops traffic that has destination address in other vlans.
