Sql View union and date select

Hi

I am using  MS SQL server 2012 and want to create a view which joins 2 nav tables which are exactly the same (but for different companies) picking up only data for today from both companies.

it's something like this : (dbo.companya.tablea   + dbo.companyb.tableb and [shipment date] being the date I need.

CREATE VIEW combined AS
   SELECT * FROM dbo.companya.TABLEa
where shipment date = Today
   UNION ALL
   SELECT * FROM dbo.companyb.tableb
where shipment date = Today

So the end result is a view called combined which combines two exact tables bringing in only the shipments from today - struggling with the syntax ( appreciate the above is not correct it's an example of what I am after)

Many thanks
