Dynamically Update all Records from One table to another Table - SQL Server 2008

Hello Experts,

I am using SQL Server 2008 and have two tables, table_1 and table_2.

Table_1:

ID      Weight
A      20.0
B      40.0
C      30.2

Table_2:

ID      Weight
A       1.1
B      -1.5
C      6.2
B      2.5
A      -6.3

I would like to update the Weight column in table_1 (add to current value) from the weight column in table_2 based on the ID columns in table_1 and table_2.

I would like to do this by Grouping table_2 by ID then updating the Weight column of each corresponding ID in table_1.

Table_1 should look like this when applied:
ID      Weight
A      14.8
B      41
C      36.4

Is there a way to do this implicitly? In other words, Weights of ALL ID values in table_2 get grouped then applied (added to) Weight columns of the corresponding table_1 ID values?

Thanks!
