Exchange 2010

I have an exchange server 2010 and they want one of the email addresses not to be able to receive emails. This address only has to receive. How do I do this on the exchange console?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sorry, I can help, but I don't understand your question. You want the email address to only receive email or only send email and not receive?

You can use Hub Transport rule to stop certain mailboxes sending or receiving emails from external sources. Take a look at this link

Since you have not specified exchange version, will give you general directions: On mailbox properties go to mailflow settings > message delivery restrictions > mark only senders on following list and keep list empty. This causes this mailbox can not receive emails.

Hi Miguel
Thanks for the comment - if I don't choose a user it defaults back to accepting emails from all users
