Exchange 2010 Duplicate messages

Just started having a problem where I am occasionally getting duplicate message in mailboxes.  We use GFI mail essentials and it shows a single message, yet at the mailbox it receives 2 and when I go in the tracking log it shows 2 with the same message id.   They are always the exact same time.   Any help would be appreciated

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Can you bypass GFI What service pack and RU you are running?

version 14.1 build 218.15

You are running SP1, which is outdated and out of support. I highly recommend you to upgrade to SP3 with RU10 or 11. You can follow my article.

There are tons of fixes done by MS between SP1 and SP3. Whatever I am reading, SP1 was known for duplicate message issue.

If I am running a single exchange 2010 server can I just run the SP or do I need to go through all the steps?
AmitIT ArchitectCommented:
You can directly run service pack. Follow this:
Take full exchange server backup
Now run download sp3.
Run sp3 with an account which is a member of necessary group I mentioned in my article.
Finally run the roll up restart your server.

Let me know if any more query.
