Recommendations on anti-virus programs for the AS400

I have been doing some research in trying find a good anti-virus program to run on our iseries. I have come across 2 anti-virus programs through my search and they are Help Systems Standguard Anti-Virus for the iseries and the other program is from Razz-Lee called AS/400 iSecurity Anti-Virus. Has anyone had any experience with either of these 2 programs and if so can you let me know which product you would recommend? If you are using another anti-virus program for your iseries other than the 2 I mentioned I would like to hear from you as well. Thanks in advance for your replies.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

HelpSystems and Standguard are very well established reputable names on the platform.   I would be comfortable recommending that product.   I used it many years back and it was easy to install and admin, but it has been many years.   I'm sure you are aware, but the 400 is not susceptible to virus's and malware in the traditional nature.   It WILL DEFINITELY be a carrier via the IFS and this is what should be most concerning.   But the AV protection is more about that vs the iSeries native file system.

I know ratzlee as a specific security product for os400 system and it is quite good as it lets you configure and monitor all objects with deep granularity. I smile when I hear about antivirus because i believe that os400 can never get compromised by a virus as a Windows system.
hope this helps
