why my website shows differently on IE 8 than IE 10, it shows good on IE 10 but messy on IE 8 and 9.

I have made a website test.colorwen.com. This website shows great in IE 10 browser but displays incorrectly on IE 8 and IE 9. The image position got messed up. Also the text position moved.

I enabled the "F12 development tools" and found if I use "document mode ie 8 standard", it shows bad. I want to know how to trouble shoot this problem, is it a CSS problem or HTML problem. I have used wordpress + a purchased theme to design this website.

IE8 supports very little of HTML5 which is your document type.  But even for HTML5, you have many errors.  You can see them at https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Ftest.colorwen.com%2F

Thanks for help. when I opened your link, I see some errors with page number. However, when I go to the my index.php page, I didn't see those lines. I only have a few lines in index.php page. How could I find which page includes these page.

I used wordpress with theme template to make my website, once I find these pages, can I update them?

Much of the page code for Wordpress sites is in the files in the 'themes' directory, not in index.php.

how to make my website compatible with IE8.
That will be difficult because there are so many things that IE8 does not do.  But is that really important?  As you can see by the chart on this page http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_explorer.asp ,  IE8 usage is very small.
