SCOM 2012 R2 - Monitor Logical Disks

Hi Everyone,

I am very new to SCOM 2012 R2.  I have just installed the application with a SQL backend.

The management console is displaying with no errors.

Could anyone step me through how to mointor the logical disks and set a tolerance level and alert once the tolerance level is breached.

Thanks

Hi,

1. step is to deploy agets to servers:

http://www.itserveronline.com/microsoft/scom-2012-agent-deployment-discovery-wizard/

2. then you have to install Management packs for OS

After you do that you can overide some setting. For example Alerting for disk free space:

Thank you very much for the links.

Do you know how to group servers together and place them in a folder down the left side of the monitor view ?

For example, create a 'Web Servers' folder and only place the web servers in there.

Yes shure. Here is an example how to this: (It is basically the same as in SCOM 2007 )

Be careful when you create a group, to create a new "Destination Management Pack"
