'Some of the settings on this page cannot be changed until the virtual machine is shut down'

Cannot change name in Parallels 11 from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 because of above statement. Lock is open.

Why are you not shutting down that virtual machine and then try to change the name?

When I shutdown Windows 10, 'Configure...' is no longer available - Parallels Desktop still running.

Shutdown Parallels 11 desktop - no help, now what?

And from the gear symbol, general tab, can you rename it there?

Good start, name changed in control center, but not in Task Bar - maybe after reboot...
