I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Can you show us screen shot of the Properties screen you get when you click the Security tab?

This is on customer computer

Cannot get to work:  been having internet issues:

Standard Properties:

General , hardware, etc at top

used space

Available space

The reason I ask is that the Security tab is one of the tabs on the Properties window.  I do not understand that clicking on the Security tab would take you to Properties.   You should already be on it.
Now you mention Hardware being at the top of the Properties window.  A Hardware tab is not  on a normal Properties window.  What does this Properties window say at the very top (Title)?

If there is no security tab available on the user's computer, follow the steps in this article to enable it.
OK.  Now I see what you mean by clicking on Security tab and winding up at a screen titled Properties.  But that screen should present all the tools for you to Edit security settings.  See  the "Properties" window for one of my drives in the attached screenshot.
Do you not see something similar?

This is very familiar on other drives, it is just happening on DVD and now usb.  Does not even allow you to see files or folder.  When you try to open that is the message received.
If you have read my last post you see what you should see and the Edit section should allow you to set Permission to view the USB or DVD.
If you need help to do this read this reference.
