WSUS problems

Hello.  I just recently reinstalled WSUS onto a new 2008 R2 server due to problems with the old server we've had for several years, and I wanted to start from scratch.  The WSUS server is up and running, and is successfully synchronizing with Microsoft.  After updating the Group policies with the new WSUS intranet server, clients are showing up on the WSUS window.  The problem is only 2 out of 100 machines are reporting. the rest are not reporting - in spite of rebooting some of the clients and the WSUS server itself.  Not sure why this is.

It is the SP2 - 3.2.7600.226 version.  I will check to see if there is a further patch I need to install.  Also let me check and share what I see in the event viewer.

thanks for your help.
After updating the server with Microsoft updates (including the one you specified), it appears to be much better.  a lot more computers are reporting in now.  There are still some that have not, but they may be taking a little time.  Will report back again shortly.

thank you for your help so far
Thank you for your help, gentlemen.  the updates resolved the issues and now all machines are reporting to the WSUS server.  thanks again
