Process to run both Office 2013 and Office 2016 within Win 10 at same time

I have a Windows 10 64-bit OS that currently has Office 2013 installed using an Office Enterprise E3 license through Office 365.

We have made Office 2016 available for install through the Office 365 admin portal and I would now like to run both Office 2013 and Office 2016 within Windows 10 at the same time.

I understand that I will only be able to run Outlook 2016 and that Office 2013 will be uninstalled.

I have already installed Office 2016 on other computers that have already had Office 2013 installed and the Office 2013 installation has been removed and then replaced with the Office 2016 installation.

What is the process I need to follow so that the current Office 365 Office 2013 installation will stay in tact when the Office 2016 software is also installed through the Office 365 admin portal?

I would like to be able to do this within the same Windows 10 base operating system without having to set up a separate installation of Office 365 running the other Office 365 version using a virtual machine.

How can this be done?

I don't think you can do what you are asking.

It is possible to have Visio 2013 and Office 2016 as long as both have the same bit (32-bit or 64-bit).

However, when it comes to core Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) you have to choose either 2016, or 2013.  You can't have both

Does anyone else know if there is any way of doing this?

In the past we have always been able to have the most current and the most second must current version of Microsoft Office installed on the same computer at the same time.

O365 is a completely different model.

You can probably have Office 2010 installed along with O365 2016, but I would not expect anything beyond that.

To my understanding, you cannot have multiple click-to-run installations of Office on the same PC.   Office 2013 and Office 2016 will not work.

Is it possible to run both Office 2013 Pro and Office 2016 Pro on the same Windows 10 computer at the same time (as long as the professional versions are installed and not the Office 365 versions of Office)?

with FL/FPP iso's yes it is possible. It is usually more work and a lot of headaches for little rewards.

Question:

What the end-game; why do you need 2013 AND 2016?   That is, other than outlook the office suite really hasn't changed much.  I wouldn't expect there to be a significant learning curve.

My understanding is that Office 2016 comes without MS Access. Perhaps this is a reason to want retain 2013?
