Creating a relationship in the SQL Database Diagram

I am trying to learn the relationships between the tables and thought I would create a Database Diagram in SQL Management Console.  I added the tables I want and I would like to see the relationship between each table. When I clicked on a field and dragged it to the field in another table I was asked to create the relationship.

If I do this will it create a dependency or do anything other than show me how the tables are linked when I look at this diagram?

If I need to I can draw the arrows myself after I print out the diagram but I'd rather not.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe that if you create a relationship in the Diagram then it will create the constraint in the database.  If the connections don't already exist then those relationships were never defined.
